My wife and I returned last week from a great nine night stay at Coco Cabanas. We have vacationed there seven or eight times before and we will return many more times. If you like peace and quiet this is the place. If you want to go fishing, snorkeling, kayaking or want a rental car, Barrett will arrange it for... more
Of all the properties avalible for rent in this sleepy fishing village, Coco Cabanas is certainly the newest, most modern choice. Everything actually works at this hotel, definitely not what I've come to expect from traditional, older hotels in Mexico. All the current rooms surround the crystal blue pool and it's just a block or so from the beach. We... more
Nice, clean cabanas with all of the basics (some with view of the sea)...well landscaped grounds, nice clean pool, not far from beach or center of town. Very friendly communal environment. Nice 'hang zone' around the pool. Some people barbeque their catch and everybody shares....very cool vibe. (I ate Hammerhead Shark!) People of all ages, all walks of life, and... more
I found the Coco Cabanas a comfortable and clean place to spend my vacation in Loreto. The owner Barrett was extreemly pleasant and very helpful in arrangeing our activities ie fishing etc while we were in loreto. Thanx again Barett for the wonderful advice as to where to catch the big one more
I've been meaning to write a review but, after the review that said Coco Cabanas was more for seniors I felt I had better do it now. We stayed there for ten nights at the end of April. I agree the beds could be better but, we seemed to get a good nights sleep. As for the comment that the... more
I think it would be practically impossible for someone to have a bad time here. PEACE, QUIET & TRANQUILL. Barrett continues to run a outstanding place. You feel like your in a large Mexican family hacienda. We loved it so much we're returning next month for another week. more
My girlfriend and I stayed there in January and had a nice time, however these rave reviews seem different from our experience. While Barrett was nice and people were accomodating I would hardly call it a tropical oasis. It was like a nice motel with clean cabanas that had good kitchens. Functional, but certainly not paradise. My biggest problem with... more
We spent two nights in Loreto last April and one in Coco Cabanas; best place! The owner help us to find an alternative for first night (We hadn't booked unfortunately and Coco was full!) very courteous!!! Don'lose the opportunity to get a massage directly in cabana: great, professional and cheap! The cabana was perfect: clean and conforteable. Best place to... more
It's hard to describe a special place like the Coco Cabanas, because of its unique feeling of home and a tropical oasis all rolled into one. Our host Steve had the gift of making guests feel like family and the cabanas are immaculate and well equipped. Steve gladly arranged whale watching and fishing trips for us, which were both incredible... more
