I was leery about booking this hotel given some of the recent negative feedback, but my wife and I were so happy that we did. Here are the positives: 1. Great location - close to grocery store and a few cheap eats across the street, bus stop in front of hotel (yes use the bus Rt. 1 it will take... more

Hi, First I joined TA this year so I am catching up with reviews from current to past trips. We stayed here the third week in June for 6 nights 2006 (didn’t bring the kids this time) Check in: no problems, fast, friendly. The Resort is old and it shows. I don’t bother about those things, but if you want... more

Firstly, you can't book directly and expect to get a decent rate. We booked two rooms back in January with hotels.com and paid $180. The hotel is old - no doubt about it. The grounds and pools are where the main effort is spent to keep things up. Our rooms looked old and tired. The rooms have a stone /... more

My girlfriend and I were due a vacation, but weren't sure where to go. Europe was off limits because of the exchange rate. ($7.50 for a little Coke, yeah right....) We both agreed on Cancun. I found a good deal on Orbitz and booked it. I spent the next month and a half checking TA reviews. I will say that... more

We really enjoyed our stay - the food in all of the restaurants was excellent, the rooms were nice, and we had a great view. The beach was FANTASTIC - the best in Cancun. The service at the bars was a bit slow but other than that we really didn't have any issues. Rented a car for two days and... more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The public relations image this hotel chain wants to project is that of a high-end line of hotels. While the staff was friendly and helpful, this particular hotel in Cancun has seen better days. For instance, the rugs in the hallways leading to the rooms were worn out and are in need... more

This hotel doesn’t belong to the InterContinental brand. The level of service and facilities are well below what's expected from this chain. From start, the valet was nowhere to be seeing during arrival. We had to unload our own luggage and carry it to the front desk. The front desk receptionist directed us to the Ambassador level check in representative,... more

My boyfriend and I embarked on a "mini-spring break" to celebrate his 30th birthday and chose the Presidente based on the price and the reviews of the beach. We were highly impressed. The beach is perfection. The hotel grounds are extremely well-maintained and attractive. The pools, restaurants, bar, and service all exceeded our expectations. Our room was quite comfortable and... more

Stayed here as a result of needing to burn Priority Club points. Found the hotel to be a bit tired. Very helpful staff however. If you're looking for more than a hotel room, might want to look elsewhere. The beach was fantastic. Met a few great folks. Hotel prices should be expected to be high, but this got a little... more

My wife and I booked the Presidente for 8 night stay through priceline. After reading the reviews on trip advisor , other some travelers had to pay resort fees. I e-mailed the hotelat least 10 times to see if I would be be responsible for any resort fees. They did not resond back. On arrival to the hotel I was... more
