I was going nuts reading reviews trying to educate my leap in the dark. You know what I mean. I wasn't on a honeymoon and i wasn't in a bitter mindset going in. You can get complimentary pickup from the airport if you phone the hotel and ask (or your agent - i called my website-agent and they arranged it... more

We went to Cancun as a family of 5 . Me and my husband and our 3 kids (5, 10 and 14 years old) . As soon as we got to the lobby we were amazed ! the service was incredible .As soon as we walked into the lobby they gave us drinks and there was food . The only... more

Hi everyone... Me and my brother stayed in the Royal Solaris Caribe from the 14th June to 28th June 2008 and found it to be fantastic!!! Just ignore these moaning old farts that rate this complex 1,2 or 3 out of 5 cos they are whingers that go on holiday and pick out petty little faults which almost every hotel... more

First of all, do not stay at the Solaris expecting a fancy resort. We usually stay at Bahia resorts, and this was about 2 stars lower than any of those. If you are used to staying somewhere like Iberostar, this place is not for you. When we checked in, the hotel did not have the requests we made through Expedia.... more

I ignored the bad reviews on this site and went to the hotel anyway, big mistake. The hotel is not in the hotel zone and the pictures of the hotel are not accurate. It is an older hotel and not luxurious. It is not located in a nice area of Cancun. There are so many other hotels and if you... more

I would never stay here again! No bottled water for their guests. You have to beg them for it. Bad room and then we upgraded for a beach view, which cost us $180.00. When we got to the room the water presure tinkled out of the shower, and the air in the room was a nightmare. All my clothes and... more

I stayed at this hotel with my friends and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and great fun (both in the restaurant and pool). They really made our holiday and kept both adults and children thoroughly entertained! Night time entertainment was not great but luckily there is plenty to do in Cancun so that didn't really matter. The... more

We had a fabulous time at the RS hotel. Check in was a breeze and we were taken on a tour by our room representative (time-share appointee). At first we told him no but figured why not for $100. They are not high pressure and Victor was the best. Our luggage didn't make it with us but we were notified... more

Oh, Royal Solaris Cancun…where do I start? It is very difficult to give this resort poor marks due to the fact that it tries so hard to be a quality resort; however it falls sadly short. Now before you think that I am one of these travelers that look to be pampered, I am not. I typically stay in Playa... more

Check in was smooth til a lady who was to tell us about the resort went on and on...when all we wanted to do was get to our rooms already. I read the Caribe Tower was more calm, so this is where we stayed. It was a far walk from our room to the Royal side which is where all... more
