Great hotel location, close to everything you might need. I DO NOT recommend this resort for families with children. It is for a younger, rowdy crowd. The nasty pool bar was the center of the hotel, and 2 days we were there, drunks were puking and being wheeled off in wheelchairs because they were passed out! The beach was pretty,... more

We’ve just returned from a week stay at the Riu Cancun—myself and three other friends. We were there from July 6-13 and we loved everything about the resort. Pros: - The junior suites are excellent, and no problem whatsoever with the AC - the staff at the resort are extremely pleasant and hard working - the food is good, nothing... more

My family and I recently took a vacation to the Riu Cancun for my sisters graguation present. This is a all inclusive 5 star resort that I cannot begin to describe fully. We booked through NWA world vacations and were met at the airport with a shuttle that took us directly to our hotel where we were greeted with a... more

Just returned from the RIU Cancun for a six day trip. Our party of five was family including 2 female adults and three young adult kids (ages 18-24). We booked this RIU venue based about reccomendations for the activities, price and location. Since this vacation was primarily for the younger one's in our crowd I think it was a good... more

Had a great stay at the RIU Cancun, its in probably teh best spot in Cancun (you aint doing much walkin to get to the bars/clubs) Unlike other hotels in the hotel zone the RIU Is located at the top of the strip next to all the clubs and bars! The must do's in Cancun - Coco Bongo -- great... more

I went there with my family and do not recommend this place unless you range in age from 18-23. There is nothing to do at the resort past 9pm. The evening show is in an auditorium with no air conditioning or ventilation and everyone smokes there. If you come from the US and don't smoke then it is very uncomfortable.... more

I just arrived back from a weeks stay at the Riu Cancun. After reading all the reviews on this website I went with low expectations. I must say I was pleasently surprised. This hotel really caters to everyone. Those that complain about it being too noisy have the quiet pool which was the most refreshing pool. Those that wanted to... more

The Riu Cancun is a really nice hotel. The only thing i hate about this hotel is the elevators and the AC. Really weak ac in the bedroom, makes my bed sheets wet every morning. They have a great 24 hour sports bar which is really cool, a wet & drink bar and the other 3 bars r closed at... more
