We recently returned from a week in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico. The stay was everything we wanted it to be; romantic, adventurous and emersed in the culture. On a friend's recommendation we stayed at a lovely place called Villas Las Anclas. Our friend directed us to tripadvisor where we read Villas Las Anclas "is a hidden treasure'. It is indeed quaint,... more

Villa Las Anclas is an amazing place to stay. When we arrived, Pedro and Eyal met with us to tell us about restaurants and diving. To reserve the room, you have to send them $100 by PayPal. Then pay them the remaining in cash when you arrive. Pedro also owns the Blue Angel dive shop, so he gave us a... more

This is a great property very close to the square in Cozumel. Although it takes a time or two up the spiral staircase to get used to the climb, it is like home away from home. There is no pool but a great garden courtyard area for morning coffee. Even though the property is very close to town it is... more

My friends have been dving for years in Cozumel. They came upon this Villa a few years back and continue to go there every year. They have watched it get better and better. This was our first year to visit Cozumel for diving. We found the suites were wonderful. The rooms are well appointed and roomy. The air-conditioning was more... more

Having just returned from our fourth stay at Las Anclas, a friend asked me why we always stay at the same place. My answer was, "There is no better place on Cozumel." The rooms are clean and comfortable with good A/C. The housekeeping is excellent. The gardens are a great place to hang out for "Happy Hour(s)". The dive gear... more

This is a great little, diver-friendly hotel with many repeating guests, which is recommendation enough but having just returned from Villa Las Anclas for the second time we thought it only fair this time to do a review and show what some of the few British visitors to the island think. It is difficult to find something others have not... more

My husband and I have just returned from a 17 day stay at Villa Las Anclas. We return every year to this hotel and it continues to be the best place for a Cozumel vacation. We love the spacious rooms with a wonderful loft and great tiled bathroom. The courtyard is perfect for reading, making friends (and connecting with special... more

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights of a 8 night vacation and it was great. We went there to do some diving and we were looking for a location that allowed us to become a part of the local culture. that is exactly what we got. This hotel is located just a few blocks from everything and... more

This is one of my favorite places that I have ever stayed. The rooms are more like individual villas that share a beautiful garden/courtyard where people get together to share stories and ideas for restaurants and things to do. The best thing about this hotel is the hosts, Pedro and Eyal. They make you feel like you have come to... more

We just returned from our 6th annual stay at VLA and it just keeps improving: wireless internet, lush garden area, dive gear drying area, fresh chocolates each morning, furnished toiletry amenities, etc., etc. And, of course, the things that have always made this hotel special: very convenient downtown location, congenial live-in owners Pedro and Eyal, transportation to Blue Angel Diving,... more
