This hotel's website claims that it is a lovely, beautifully decorated hotel in downtown Toronto. Don't be fooled. It's a dump. We arrived to find no one at the desk and multiple locks and phone calls to negotiate. Once we finally found someone, she had great difficulty with speaking or understanding English. Our room was tiny, with cheap furniture, ratty... more

Did not like it at all. First of the people who work there do not speak English. At least nothing that we understood to be English. We had trouble parking our car on the back because it was so small and hard to find. Even worse: the car was broken into the night we stayed in the room. We tried... more

Hello all, we were recently on a leisure travel in Toronto. We were three friends looking for a place to stay for 3 nights. We had a look on the internet and found the web page of Victoria's Mansion: http://www.victoriasmansion.com , read the information, checked that 3 guys might host in the same room, and booked one room. Our disagreeable... more

We checked the web and decided to stay there because of location and price. We checked in and my room was downstairs. I went with a standard room with a standard bed. The downstairs smelled and you could tell there was some recent flooding. After one night, bed was more like a cot, I asked to be changed. I was... more

It looked quant on the web and a bit different,we only stayed 2 nights. The location is excellent just off Yonge street, however our room on the ground floor was a bit tatty. The bathroom!!! was more like a corridor only the width of the shower. It was cheap and location great otherwise not a goog choice. Staff greeted us on... more

I stayed at the Victorian Mansion for only one night. I arrived in Toronto early in the day and was allowed to get into my room around noon. The room was very clean with a small fridge, microwave, TV, phone, clock/radio, wireless internet, desk, and single bed. The bathroom was obviously new and extremely clean. It was very quiet and... more

We chose Victoria's Mansion as it seemed to be a small-ish hotel/inn in a fun area and at a reasonable price. I contacted the owners directly to book. They weren't the friendliest on the phone but that was okay. Upon arrival, the room wasn't ready, despite having phoned to check on the arrival times. I had to wait an hour... more

Most of downtown Toronto was already booked up when I started searching for a room for a five-night stay during the Toronto International Film Festival. Victoria's Mansion caught my eye because of its price and location, and got me because they had one room left. It was a simple room: a double bed, TV, clock radio, coffee pot, microwave and... more

We booked two nights ahead of time at Victoria's Mansion as part of a road trip we were taking through Ontario. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, though some of the facilities (e.g. the television -- invaluable for weather forecasts) did not work. We reported these problems but they were not fixed during our stay. We very much enjoyed... more

We stayed for 4 nights on the way back from Chicago in May 2004, booked through the web. Its a large victorian house in a quiet street in the gay district. Straight or gay the location is fine, a vibrant area with many good restaurants & breakfast stops within a minute or two of leisurely strole and loads to see... more
