Stayed two nights at this bed and breakfast based on the reviews I had read on TripAdvisor. The owner, Seamus, is extremely friendly and helpful. The B&B is in a great location; moments from the city centre and surrounded by history given its location in the Bogside. Seamus recommended some interesting tours and other activities to do. The breakfast is... more

We were a family of 6 traveling to Derry for the first time from the USA. We contacted the Abbey directly via email and were immediately gratified by their responsiveness and by how informative they were. It was a wonderful start and it just got better when we got there. Seamus, Helen and Paula make you feel at home. They... more

Absolutely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and it is enough space for the luggage. We took reservation on Friday for Sunday (a absolutely busy weekend in Derry - Celtfest) no advance payment was required. He hold the rooms for us with 100% reliable. When we will back in Derry we never will book another place. We will... more

The Abbey is run by a very pleasant gentleman who is quite helpful. The rooms are clean and breakfast is plentiful and good. Parking is free (on street) and if you need a taxi, they're reasonably priced. I would recommend taking a tour of Derry, and the bus tour was excellent. I would also recommend Inner City Outer City Tours... more

As soon as I arrived I was made to feel very welcome by Helen. The Abbey B&B is an ideal place for visiting Derry, situated just minutes from the 'Walls'. Breakfast is very tasty and sets you up for the day ahead. I would certainly return as the home comforts are exceptional. more

We stayed three nights at the Abbey and it was amazing!!! Beautiful and clean room (including a clean bathroom too), great breakfast, great location (easy to walk from the bus station - about 20 minutes - and it is near great pubs, the Free Derry Museum and the walled city) and wonderful hosts!!! They gave us excellent recommandations for restaurants,... more

Stayed 3 nights with my wife in June. Booked through Tourist Info. as cheaper option to agencies and unable to e-mail direct. First time in Derry and wanted comfortable stay fairly central. Used Trip Advisor to decide upon choice. Surprised how expensive B&Bs were in Derry compared to other parts of Ireland, but this is a good place to stay... more

Selected this B&B because of previous reviews. Very disappointed in our experience. The accommodations are becoming somewhat run down, such as furnishings, mattress, towels, etc. Mostly clean, but not as I expected from the earlier comments. Just getting worn and threadbare. Seamus and Helen are delightful as host and hostess. However, since they do not live at the b&b, we... more

I am sorry this guest did not have the experience that they wished for, I would however wish they had said what room number they stayed in as we could look more closely at renewing fittings/furnishings. All rooms however expect rooms 1 and 5 have been refurnished this year with new beds, leather headboards and chairs, new flooring and redecorated. We...
