In Glasgow for a wedding, I booked 3 rooms, two of which overlooked the street. Despite being so near to a major thoroughfare in a large city, we could sleep well with the windows open. A gorgeous terrace townhouse with a homey feel. Extremely approachable and helpful staff; friendly pooch at home on the stairs. Plush colours and carpets. We stayed at the Belhaven for one night and wished we had stayed longer, but the hotel was fully booked. The staff was pleasant and welcoming, and our room was nicely decorated and spacious, with 2 very comfortable double beds, and a large bathroom. The full breakfast was excellent. I booked a room in this hotel for 50 pounds a night, two weeks in advance. On arrival i was informed that my booking had been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". I was shocked and stranded. We stayed 2 nights at The Belhaven Hotel. On arrival we were warmly greeted and directed to our room which was on the top floor for the 1st night and the 2nd floor for the 2nd night. Stayed here for 2 nights overs Christmas and found the hotel very comfortable and warm. The staff were very helpful and polite although we did not use the bar on either of the nights we stayed.
