Had a great experience here. Yes, the bar is dimly lit, yes the corridors are also dimly lit, but it's not that there is something to hide. It's purely to create ambiance. In the evening little tealight candles are scattered throughout and along the steps on stairs which adds to the feeling. The main entrance on the quayside does bring... more

Stayed here for 2 nights on business following recommendation from a colleague - loved it ! Very chic hotel - design by John Rocha. Very friendly and efficient (Irish) staff were most helpful. Rooms are well equipped and very modern, with lovely toiletries provided ( Irish again ) and a well equipped bar and tea/coffee selection. Restaurant again very chic... more

Contemporary hotel right by the river, walking distance from everything, close to the popular Temple Bar area. Everything you need, free wifi at time of our visit, comfortable leather sofas in lounge overlooking street/water to read paper and have coffee and cake. Clean, pleasant, friendly, helpful, priced right for Dublin, well located, and most of all unintrusive. 3 blocks from... more

The Morrison may appeal to travelers looking for a great location with easy access to the strolling the bar area as it is just across from the Temple Bar area and easy to get to other city attractions. But it is not recommended for the business traveller because its all style and no function. Arriving at the front door which... more

Stayed last weekend for one night b&b with a friend in a twin room. Our room and bathroom (shower only) were rather compact but suited our needs for one night. Thankfully we live outside Dublin so were not put off by the terrible view from the window of a grotty side street. At €317 for the room we obviously didn't... more

Stayed here during the first weekend in June. This was a perfect location--very central. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs some rejuvenation, however. It looks like it was much nicer back in the day when the paint was fresh and everything was cleaner. For example, the walls and furniture in our room were scuffed in places,... more

Just returned from a lovely long weekend in Dublin. After searching for weeks for a reasonably priced hotel that was central, eventually found the Morrison. Great location, near lots of great restaurants, sights and shops! Staff were great, concierge really helpful. As it was a bank holiday weekend, I made a list of places to visit and asked them to... more

Stayed here over a long weekend. Staff are extremely well trained and everyone says hello to you. Breakfast is good. Decor is cool although a little dark at times. Location is excellent, near enough to all the hustle and bustle of the shopping area and Temple Bar within walking distance but far enough to have peace and quiet in your... more

I spent 3 nights in the Morrison Hotel last week and it was very good. Their customer service is very good and they earn every good review they get. Every single member of staff is trained to the highest standard. If you run a customer focused organisation and you want to see how it is done, check into the Morrison... more

We stayed on the special 'Easter Break' offer the hotel had on at the time of booking. This was a 2-night stay with breakfast on both days and dinner for one night included. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and the location is excellent for walkable access to Dublin City Centre. The thing that struck... more
