We had our wedding there in June. It was superb, the food, service was wonderful, the staff are utmost professional yet friendly. The rooms are fantastic and the gardens are beautiful. It in my mind should be ranked as a 5 star - we dealt with two managers, Cathal and Padraig, both were fantastic. This hotel gave me the most... more
I stayed here on business and it really is a special hotel. The warm welcome is typically Irish. The rooms are large and very well furnished and finished. Bathrooms are fabulous, including slippers and robes. Food is on the expensive side, but worth the money. If you want somewhere special, this really hits the spot. more
We are just back from a 2 night stay at the Ballygarry. The spa was outstanding, something you should book in advance though, but well worth it. Breakfast and dinner were terrific too. We stayed in the contemporary styled wing of the hotel, adjacent to the spa. The room was beautiful, overlooking the car park and a field full of... more
Stayed for a weekend in June and it was a great experience. The hotel and it's grounds are beautiful. The food was top quality and the level of professionalism by the staff was better than anything I've seen in a hotel previously. more
We stayed at Ballgarry for 1 night in May. The hotel is a lovely hotel. The rooms were huge and the bathrooms were great and had a separate shower and bath. The bar was really nice and we had lunch here when we arrived. Food was excellent. We had drinks in the bar in the evening too and although it... more
Wonderful experience. Lovely clean rooms, helpful staff and great dinner in restaurant, fabulous spa and treatments. Booked 2 rooms for 5 guests and overall it was a lovely restful weekend for all of us. more
On a recent visit to family, we stayed here for 4 nights, hoping for a relaxing time unfortunately the hotel is geared up for weddings, 3 nights a week for up to 300 and large group tours ah and the biggest complaint, the spa is booked up by locals, so forget calling when you arrive, its completetly booked up even... more
A group of 30 of us stayed for 2 nights in June 08 as part of a holiday to Ireland. The staff were the friendliest and most accomodating were have ever known, and nothing was too much trouble. Not one of the 30 guests could find fault with anything at the hotel. The setting and gardens are beautiful and the... more
I have to say this hotel is a gem if you can get a deal (which we did by simply calling them and asking them what was on offer). The Spa is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable, clean and everything you would expect for a good 4 star hotel. I have read the previous reviews which I suspect are... more
