This hotel is in a great location, not far from the airport as well as being only a short taxi ride to the bars and restaurants. The continental breakfast were quite basic and not very appitising so ate out after the first one. It is a very modern looking hotel with great, clean rooms. A free minibar is good with... more

I really like the location of this hotel. It is very convenient to the Metro which makes it a simple trip to and from the Airport. There are a couple of local Tapas Bars in the area that are quite good. If you want to play tourist it is an easy trip on the Metro to get to any area... more

you don't mind staying a little bit north of the main sights in the city. It's worth booking if you're getting it at a much cheaper price than the city centre hotels. We were a 5 minute bus ride from the shops in the Salamanca district and the downtown area around Cheuca, Retiro, Prado Museum (Bus No.1). There was a... more

The AC Avenida de America is a very nice three star plus hotel. The standard of decor, interior and service is a definite four star. Breakfast is fresh, simply prepared and with some cold meats, cheeses along with hot bacon, sausage and eggs Spanish style. There are also some delicious sweet cakes to have with coffee, such as Apple flan... more

We arrived early morning from out flight from the states and planned to drop off our bags. The friendly staff gave us one of our rooms instead, a nice surprise at 9:30am. Rooms are very modern and clean, with hardwood floors, good closet space, great lighting. The bathroom is marble, with great pressure/hot water in shower. Lots of extras in... more

After checking out other Madrid hotel reports on tripadvisor there seemed to be plenty of positive comments so I booked a Saturday and Sunday night. Like others have said this hotel certainly does punch above its three-star rating. I later spent a couple more nights at a five-star hotel (Palacio del Retiro) in the same AC brand and the Avda.... more

This hotel is very good for 3 stars. Reception advised us to take a twin room for our 3 night stay because they were bigger than the double rooms, but we found the double room to be of an acceptable size. We found the reception staff to be polite and helpful. Their knowledge of English was good enough for the... more

AC Hotel Avenida de America is an excellent choice, though not in the center of the city. I arrived there late (10:30 PM) and as often when booked with Expedia, they had no room reserved for me. The employee at the reception then managed for me to have an access to my personal mailbox on Internet on his PC so... more

We were dubious about this hotel as not in the centre and a 3 star. But it turned out to be much better than expected. We personally felt it to be a 4 star rather than a 3. We've stayed in some European 4 star hotels that are no where near as nice. The rooms are large and nicely decorated.... more

Stayed here for a few days recently: The good: - large clean rooms - 10 minutes walk from Avda de America Metro station - on the east side of town, about 12km from the Airport - limited free mini-bar (1 beer/day....) The bad - staff OK, ranging from reasonably friendly to plain surly - 25 tele channels (all dubbed in... more
