We upgraded to Deluxe Rock View Room upon check in. It was worth every cent that we spent. Magnificent views of the rock, a verandah with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the views. The rooms looked very new and stylish with big bathroom and huge king size bed. We had a quick check in with lovely staff and... more

We had a 2 day stay here. Accomodation was ok, clean and comfortable but not worth the money. In July the pool was freezing cold, and we would recommend using the pool in the sails in the desert hotel which is 10 min walk away, it seemed warmer. The location was fine, and had great trips with Anangu, camel ride... more

There are not many choices of hotels in Uluru so you are pretty limited in the first place. This hotel is quite expensive and doesn't reflect the standards you would expect from such a pricey hotel. The rooms are spacious but the cleanliness was not great. Staff were ok. more

We stayed 3 nights in a Deluxe Room at Desert Gardens. These rooms provide good views of the Rock, particularly from the upper level. As noted in other reviews, the Desert Gardens is not a 'deluxe' hotel overall, however we found our room spacious, clean and very comfortable. One spends most of the time out of the room anyway, so... more

When I book a 4 star hotel in Australia I expect it to be a decent standard. This hotel however is on a par with holiday inn or premier inn but is far more expensive. I was really quite disappointed. I know you don't travel to Ayres Rock for the hotel but you expect far more for a 4 star... more

As previous reviews have stated Urulu is all about the location and not the hotel. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is one of those truly magnificient world class locations - well worth the trip. We stayed 3 nights at Desert Gardens - owned by the Voyages Group (everything at the Uluru village is), plus there was a considerable price reduction if... more

This hotel is ok. I was pleased it was clean and no insects. It is basic but it has everything you''ll need. It cost us 160 pounds a night for the room. It is not worth paying any extra for a higher class hotel; it is all run by Voygers and they have the monopoly on everything. The food is... more

The hotel is fine but nothing special. Check-in was easy; nobody helped with bags or showed you to your room. All the tours stop here first and it was conveniently located in that sense. The lobby had ample seating and 2 coin-operated Internet computers available. The room was average and pretty clean with a good size bathroom and comfortable double... more

We spend 2 nights there. The bathroom is big, modern and clean, and King size bed very comfortable. Considering I was in the middle of no where, I think the price of the room was good and I was very impressed before my trip to Uluru, but the problem here are food, it was the most terrible I have ever... more

Bit nervous before we arrived as the reviews for this hotel had been a bit mixed but we found the hotel to be clean and spacious. As others have noted, the Desert Gardens is in the middle of a complex of hotels with no competitors and as you would expect is not cheap - I would say that prices are... more
