My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rising Dragon for three nights while in Hanoi, and booked tours to Sapa and Halong Bay through the hotel as well. We were extremely impressed with the front desk staff - they were always smiling and extremely helpful. My boyfriend cut his toe on a city tour while we were there, and one... more

We stayed at the Rising Dragon for several days in mid September 2008 and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, they really made our stay. The rooms are very clean with simple Asian design. One strange thing that many other people have noted in their reviews are the bathtubs that come up about thigh high so... more

My daughter and I arrived in Hanoi from Bangkok at 21.00hrs on a Saturday night. The taxi, the hotel had arranged for us met us at the airport as promised, and took us straight to the hotel. Our reception when we arrived was both efficient and friendly. Our room was spotless and spacious - we did opt for a double... more

We built our visit to Vietnam around Hanoi, and wanted to make sure we were staying in a comfortable, convenient, and reputable hotel. After browsing online and consulting friends who had been to Vietnam before us, we decided on the Rising Dragon Hotel. We were not disappointed! The room was much more spacious than we thought, and was well-apppointed with... more

Lots of hotels in the Old Quarter, but we were really glad we booked here. This is the best of the small hotels with a warm family feel. Rooms are not gigantic, but not closets either. Bathrooms are medium to large – bigger than mine back home anyway. Provides small things like shampoo and toothbrushes. Good rates with breakfast included... more

Very good value for the price paid. Very reasonable!!! Very Clean, lovely large rooms and considering how busy the city is, very quiet. Would reccommend to everyone, perfectly located in the city to the lake, puppetry, markets, museums, and excellent eateries surround you!!!! Definatly 10 out of 10. If you do the Halong Bay Tour book through them, you are... more

Friendly, honest staff who didn't hassle us for tours. Clean, comfortable if uninspiring room. We stayed in a triple standard (although the third bed was just a mattress) on the top floor . Quiet and good exercise especially with 2 young children. Hotel is located on noisy street so best to ask for high floor at back or bring earplugs.... more

This hotel is not fancy but it is a great combination of location, comfort and economical price. I paid $30 a night for a spacious, clean room with air conditioning. The room had no windows, but then again I don't travel to stay at my bedroom looking through the window. The only problem I had during the two nights I... more
