I just returned from the Le Meridien Angkor. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I would recommend going online and getting a cambodian E-visa. This will save you about twenty minutes at the aiport.. I had arranged through the hotel for a pickup from the airport. They were waiting for me with a sign as I exited... more
I just spent four nights there and was very pleased - this is a very nice 4 star tourist hotel. While there, we visited both the Raffles and the Hotel de la Paix and preferred it to both. The Raffles was stuffy and empty - we walked in and they practically begged us to eat at the restaurant. The de... more
We stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon in August. The hotel is the closet to the ancient temples of Angkor. It takes around 10 minutes by car or 15-20 by Tuktuk to Angkor Wat. On arrival we were greeted with cool face cloths and refreshing drinks. The check in was quite slow, but eventually we were taken to... more
Wow, what can I say about Le Meridien Angkor. From the minute you drive up to the hotel and see the entrance, to the spectacular lobby and the welcome drink of Ginger, Lemongrass Ice tea, this hotel was fist rate. We booked the hotel using the cash and points option from SPG. I believe we paid 5000pts and $45US a... more
This hotel was possibly the finest hotel I have stayed in and I have been to quite a few hotels. From my opinion you get way more for the price you pay to stay here. In the North America or Europe a hotel like this would cost around $300-$400 a night OR MORE!!! We were pretty much backpacking around South... more
We stayed in Siem Reap for 5 nights. The hotel is as you would expect from Le Meridien chain. The hotel is very close to the town centre and to the temples at Angkor. We had a fantastic time and that includes my 2 children ages 7 and 9. The people of Cambodia were great, we hired a guide and... more
We visited Siem Reap for the first time and wanted to make sure we had good accommodation. They had a great rate since the hotel is still new. Arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport so as not to deal with arrival angst and it was a good decision. Location of the hotel was fine and... more
We spent 5 nights in Siem Reap at this Starwood property. Our travel agent had suggested one of the other boutique type hotels but as one of the primary requirements when you travel with kids is a great pool, I choose the Meridien. And we were not disappointed at all! We landed at 10:30pm from Seoul (after a 22 hour... more
We stayed at the Meridian during our trip to see the temples. The hotel is very lovely and the staff is exceptionally friendly and all speak English. The rooms were very large and the bathroom was just gorgeous! The weekly traditional amsara dance was great. Gift shops were a bit pricey but had beautiful silver jewelery. Loved the business suite... more
