The favourable reviews on TA attracted me - for a cautious two nights [third visit to Siem Reap]. I ended up staying a fortnight: the GH was addictive; open-air restaurant; air-con internet cafe. The owner, and his extended family, helpful, courteous, honest. After almost 3 years in SE Asia, the place really stands out in memory. more

Date:27September 2008, Malaysia We booked our rooms directly with the owners of Bou Savy - We weren't disappointed. There was a Tuk - Tuk waiting for us at the airport . He was friendly and we booked to him throughout our stay. Back at the guesthouse our welcome drink was awaiting us. Bou Savy is run by a friendly family... more

We had an enjoyable stay at Bou Savvy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with fridge, TV and air-con. Our private bathroom was very small and quite skanky though – probably one of the least pleasant that we had to use during our trip around SE Asia. The communal areas are very nice and have an almost colonial feel. As... more

Bou Savy Guesthhouse is tidy, comfortable and safe. The staff makes you feel very welcome, as if you were a part of the family. The driver, Rong, who Mr. Bovuth organized to pick me up at the airport was also my driver to the temples. He was wonderful. Traveling alone isn't always easy for a female, but my trip to... more

When we arrived we were told there had been an 'overbooking' and our room wasnt available. This despite having booked the room by an email to the hotel months beforehand. We were asked if we would mind to stay in another place, owned by the same family, just over the road and we would get our room the next day... more

I enjoyed this guesthouse. It was clean, cheap and the owners were so friendly and helpful, arranging tuk tuks for a bargain $12 per day to go out and see the temples of Angkor Wat. We asked to see some further away temples and they willingly obliged for $30 (a bargain for a 1.5 hour each way ride!) Breakfast was... more

I really think this is the right place to stay when you are visiting Ankgor: after arranging with the owner Bovuth (a real gentleman),the tuc tuc driver will pick you up at the airport, or bus station, whatever you come from, and the same man (his name was PiLot, a very kind guy) can drive you up to Ankgor and... more

For the price you pay, it is very hard to beat. I had just come from a $70 a night hotel in Phnom Penh and the Bou Savy at $12 a night put it to shame, It is a colonial looking building set in a lush garden, big a/c+fan rooms (not overly modern or exceptional but much more than adequate)... more

it is a very pleasant place to stay in. I was travelling alone and was rather worried at first but this guesthouse is safe and clean and the people are friendly and helpful. I wanted to rent a bicycle to travel the town but Sambo gave me good advice not to do so as he saw how i lousy I... more
