The Pousada is charming and convenient, a travel trough time and friendliness. The staff is helpful and dedicated, the rooms are spacious and clean and I was delighted to stay in one of the best pousadas of the area. A definite must! more

We had great hopes after reading the reviews of this place. We had the top floor room with private terrace. The shower room was flooded by rain water and there were lots of bugs. This is not something I would be overly bothered about but the staff never cleared them away even when asked repeatedly and the beasties built up... more

I spent there 3 nights in August 2006. Location is great, close to Pelourinho. The room no.1 at the ground floor is very spacious but a little bit noisy and less new than the other rooms. The best rooms are the superior ones, with windows and outside view. Standard rooms (I just saw one...) are pretty claustrophobic! Breakfast is great... more
