We loved the Sofitel Resort! This was the second stop on our Honeymoon trip and it was a vast improvement over the Sheraton Tahiti. From the moment we arrived we were treated to amazing service, a relaxing check in process and beautiful facilities. We stayed in a deluxe beach bungalow, the room was amazing very clean and wonderfully redone. We... more

My family recently spent 4 nights at the Sofitel in Moorea in 2 deluxe OWB's. We arrived very early in the morning and were registered efficiently. As our rooms were not yet available we went and grabbed breakfast and then changed into shorts and hung out on the beach until after lunch. In terms of the physical property I could... more

This was our first main stop for our honeymoon, and it was well worth it. We booked a beach bungalow through Tahiti Legends. The front desk was very welcoming at check-in. The concierge was more than happy to help us with any request that we had. The room itself was great. We were feet away from the lagoon which offered... more

We loved this hotel! When I booked, I requested a Garden Bungalow close to the beach. We were in 322 and it had a fantastic view, 5 steps from the beach. I think 323 next door was a more expensive Beach Bungalow, but was only 4 steps closer to the beach! The bungalow was at the southern end of the... more

Unbelievably breathtaking view! The deluxe over water bungalow was worth every penny! It's a once in a lifetime experience and if you can afford it - go for it! The deck was large and chaises were comfortable. Snorkeling equipment was included. We spent most of our 4 days on the property soaking in the beauty . We read a ton... more

We just returned from a honeymoon stay at the Sofitel and I can definitely confirm other comments that this is the best hotel on the island (for couples, probably not families). The rooms are new and fantastic and the property is the nicest of any we saw (we also drove around the island and visited Pearl and Intercontinental). OTW bungalows... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in Mid July 2008. I am 41 and my wife is 37 and we are pretty active overall and enjoy travelling around the world. Hotel Location: I belive this is the key issue of this hotel as the location is on the windy side of the island and there... more

This resort has an excellent location with new, clean and well equipped bungalows. We stayed three days in a deluxe garden bungalow and two days on the furthermost of the deluxe owb's and were well impressed by our rooms. Only negative experience: Staff may be somewhat inattentive. Try the diving: The crew is funny and very forthcoming. more

We went there for the Christmas break. The first impressions were all positive: the resort is well kept, the reception is nice, we got a couple of pineapple drinks upon arrival. accommodations: We were given garden cottage the first night. Inside it was spacious, clean (we did find a huge, dead cockroach) but the bathroom area had an odd odor... more

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We actually took a drive around the entire island yesterday, stopping at each of the nicer hotels and this one is by far the most exquisite looking. The only complaint we would have is that the service is horribly slow compared to the others. We have waited upwards of an hour at times for drinks... more
