I suppose its about expectations. Some people want 5 star hotel treatment but are only willing to pay 2 star rates. I expect good value, for the money I pay to stop at a hotel. Orleans delivers this in bucketloads. To put things in to context, I am mid forties, Vegas regular, who is fortunate to work for an airline... more

If you love playing the horses in Vegas (and don't mind being away from the strip), you've found HEAVEN!! A nice-sized RACE BOOK with romantically-old (non-electronic) boards that brings back memories of 1980's race books .. .. But, each seat has a new monitor .. .. BEST OF ALL>> Every single channel covering the races can be seen DIRECTLY... more

We ended up only staying one night. The hotel smelled like smoke really really bad. Just checking in was a nightmare with all the smoke, now I understand Vegas is smoky...but this was the worst casino floor by far. Poor ventilation. Also the shower/tub are on the outside by the balcony so you feel like you are hanging off the... more

This was our second stay at the Orleans, and I think we enjoyed it much more than the first time. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at about 0830 in the morning, and had no problem checking in. As a matter of fact we received an excellent room on the 20th floor with a great view. (Did I... more

We've stayed here before, and this year we chose to stay here for a 1-nt. stay before driving to Utah. Although we reserved a standard room for $70, we were put in a beautiful executive suite with a strip view. The buffet is great and costs about half of what you would pay on the Strip. The cafe gives you... more

It's about a mile off The Strip so they try harder to make your stay a good experience. Room prices are very reasonable but after you have checked the rates on line, phone the hotel directly to see if they are less. The property is huge and there are numerous restaurants to choose from. Don Miguels has a happy hour... more

We have just returned from a fortnight stay at the orleans hotel and would highly recommend it , this is our third stay in three years and we are never disappointed. We were assigned a strip view room 1226 without even having to ask, the rooms are very large and clean. The buffet is fantastic for breakfast and the courtyard... more

Room was clean, spacious and didn't smell of smoke. It had a coffee maker, iron/ironing board, blow dryer and a safe. Breakfast buffet was good, the lunch buffet was bad. Did not try dinner buffet. Cafe was okay. Great gambling with a super VP selection. Nice poker room and most of the waitresses were HOT !!!!!! Nice pool area. Can't... more

We stayed at the Orleans after trying Sam's Town. Sam's Town is good, but The Orleans was better (They are both Boyd Gaming properties). Their Buffet was better, It was much easier to get to the Strip, the pool was much larger and they had more slots and tables. I only regret that there were very few $5 blackjack tables... more

I was there last summer and I didn't want to leave! The hotel itseelf is immaculate. The staff is extremely courteous. Great perks. Upon checking in, you are given a coupon book with lots of goodies. I had never tried wine and was given a bottle with my dinner at their buffet. Everytime I go there, I visit their buffet.... more
