This place was a dump. Room smelling of bug spray, someone else's hair stuck to the shower wall. Scary local fishermen propping the outside pool door open for friends at the bar. Lobby reeked of cigarette smoke, decor is something out of the 1960s. I'd highly recommend you avoid this place. more

I recently completed a 5 day stay for a hobby-related convention. Overall, I found this to be an average, but completely comfortable and reliable hotel for the price. Tough to dispute some of the prior complaints about cleanliness since I didn't experience any of those. Here are my comments: The staff was very friendly. There were over 100 of us... more

We stayed in Matamoras on the way to and from Vermont. We chose the hotel because it was pet friendly. We brought our seven year old Brittany Spaniel with us on the trip. The first room was clean & comfortable. The only complaint I had was the room was extremely humid and the a/c did not work properly. On our... more

We were driving to Florida to deliver a kitty to a relative and stopped at the Best Western at Hunt's Landing. Thankfully, they were pet friendly -- were pet friendly. As a matter of fact, they had a dog show in house with lots of dogs. On our return trip we stopped again, with no kitty , and we were... more

After a 10 day road trip, this was by far the worst (& the most expensive - almost $170) hotel we stayed at. Unfriendly front desk staff in the evening, unfriendly front desk staff in the morning, stinky hallway, smelly room, old bed linens, FILTHY bad tub... We had to ask for cleaning products to scrub it ourselves! We were... more

As the other reviews suggest, this is a just OK hotel. The thing is that is is the only "real" hotel in the immediate area; everything else is a renovated "motor court" or a bed and breakfast. So if you're like us and want to stay in a modern hotel, this is it. Unfortunately, during the summer months the rates... more

We stayed here overnight on our way to the Poconos. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom clean. We had dinner & breakfast in the hotel. Dinner was OK but not the greatest. Breakfast was better considering its free. Caution - even though the hotel has 40 acres of land in the rear, the ducks or geese have control of... more

This was the third time we had been to this particular hotel. It was recommended to us three years ago by someone whose family frequented the lobster buffet. the first time I booked a room I did it through [--] and got a good rate. When we go to the desk. The staff mentioned that they had just put jacuzzi... more

I have stayed here 3 times and am planning a trip back for Valentines Day. The key to staying here and enjoying yourself is remembering that this hotel is a Best Western...in the middle of the boonies of Eastern Pennsylvania. This is not a 5 Star hotel in New York City and they don't claim to be. I have stayed... more

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western for only one night in January. Our main reason for going to Matamoras was to indulge in the "all you can eat lobster/seafood buffet" at the Best Western Inn at Hunt's Landing in Matamoras. After checking prices for a room, we decided to stay the night also. We paid only $60.00... more
