This is a great choice for a stay in Granada! The hotel is very welcoming and almost feels like home. Conveniently located only a few blocks from the Parque Central. The rooms are very simple and small (the only down side). There is basically room for the bed and a little walking space (no chair, desk, etc.), but they are... more

We are here for out second stay with Lidia and Ramon , the owners of this terrific hotel! The minute we arrive we feel like family. After staying here last year there was no question about where we would stay this time around. This is the only place for us! The hotel is immaculate with wonderful service. The staff here... more

In May 2008 we chose this accommodation for several days in Granada. Cost was $80 for a triple room. This converted colonial house with courtyards had modern amenities such as AC, pool and even WiFi. Breakfasts were fabulous (see photographs) with several choices including eggs, muesli, tropical (great fruit selection) and cereal. All accompanied by fresh juice and coffee. Front... more

We stayed at Patio del Malinche for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. All the employees at PDM are extremely helpful and full of smiles and recommendations of places to see, and things to do. The rooms and environs are very clean, and the garden and pool meticulous. The owners Ramone and Lydia have done a beautiful restoration job... more

We left this hotel today and were sorry we had to go. All of the staff were wonderful and it is a beautifully developed colonial building. The breakfasts were wonderful and very generous and the pool area is beautiful as well. We were saying that if that hotel was in some parts of Europe, it would literally be ten times... more

We loved staying here. It is a renovated colonial hacienda in a perfect location in a delightful town. The room was a bit small. The wireless internet didn't work well in the room but did in the patio area where we had breakfast. We were upstairs, with no elevator so if you if you prefer ground floor you need to... more

We usually pay a bit more for a hotel, but there are no quality hotels in Granada. But bearing in mind the price, Patio del Malinche is excellent value. I would strongly endorse 50+traveller's comments and those of CharityIan. As they say, the rooms are very small. But we had no problem with hot water. And if you want to... more

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days at the end of May 2008. The good points first, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the air conditioning was modern split system and really cooled the room down and the cable tv on offer had numerous english channels with even a german channel. Bad points, the room as always... more

My husband and I spent a week in Nicaragua, and Granada was our first stop. Hotel Patio del Malinche could not have been a better welcome to the country and it's impressive service-oriented culture towards tourism. We happened to be there during the unfortunate transportation strike, and everyone at Malinche went above and beyond to help us figure out how... more

According to many people we met in Granada, this hotel is the best in the city. If you are used to 5 star resorts, this is not the place for you (which applies to Granada as a whole). If you want a nicer than most, clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff that is central to Nicaraguan culture, then... more
