This is everything that the other reviewers have written. Lovely sea views, nice beach, good staff, great rooms but a bit over-priced for what you get. For 550 dollars a night you would normaly get a hotel with more facilities and a bit of soundproofing (very thin walls made for disturbed sleep). Also the additional 20 dollars for parking and... more

I had the opportunity to stay for over a week at the Pacific Terrace Hotel while my son recovered from surgery. The staff was professional, courteous, helpful and very friendly. We had to extend our stay twice during the US Open . Not only did they graciously extend our stay but kept our rates (which were a special internet rate)... more

The Pacific Terrace hotel was very good but expensive. I stayed in a suite which was brilliant apart from the fact that you can hear everything in the room next door. The decor was very good as was the room appointment with a beautiful balcony/view along the beach. It cost approx €1200 for our 3 nights stay which compared to... more

The PTH is everything that they say. Upon check in we were offered an upgrade to a ocean front room on the 2nd floor, which we took. I highly recommend taking the upgrade, if offered, it was worth it. We had a HUGE room with kitchen and lovely bathroom. Balcony faced the ocean, about 40 yards away. wonderful. The last... more

We picked Pacific Terrace because it was on the beach, it had rooms remaining when we booked at the last minute, and also because it is #1 rated on tripadvisor.com of all hotels in San Diego - that is an amazing feat! If you want a real California beach experience, great people watching, and an easy walk to some good... more

My husband and I stayed at Pacific Terrace Hotel on 6/6/08 in celebration of our anniversary. When researching hotels in the area, I came across a couple of travel sites with old outdated pictures, when I went directly to the hotels site, I was surprised at how lovely the rooms were. I called the hotel to confirm, that the pictures... more

This was a last minute book but so glad we did it. The hotel is in a perfect spot away from most of the crowded beachstrand of Pacific Beach. It literally is on a bluff overlooking the ocean and within 30 yards of the stairs to take you down below to the sand. The check in process what very easy... more

We booked a room at this hotel, at the last minute, based on Tripadvisor reviews. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel had great staff, from the bellhop/valet to front desk staff, to the buffet helpers. Their advice on what to do in San Diego was right on. We stayed in an ocean view room on the top... more

We had booked a 4 day stay to finish off a tour of the California Coast and selected this hotel primarily on the basis of the reviews here. I am at a loss as to how this can be the number one hotel in the lively San Diego area. On check in the Receptionists asked us if we wanted to... more
