Some times we think people just say bad things but in the end is OK.

But This Hotel is very BAD, with a lot of bugs and beds not made every day and with old sheets full of stains, please couples don´t go to this one

I don't understand how can people complain about this hotel. My best friend and I just returned..on June 24th. And it was a week of paradise!!!!
The employees are friendly, funny, and out going. They want visitors to participate in events, especially by the pool. The entertainment at night - was GREAT! Other people I chatted with have stayed in other hotels and told me this was the best entertainment they had seen.
It's not a 5 star hotel..but I would never think it's a 3 1/2 star.

Bartendars by the POOL.....funny and "ay yay yay" is entertaining. Yeap, that's his name! :)
I would tip the guys daily, in New York, everyone expects a tip..but when you do it here, they really appreciate it!
I WILL BE BACK, THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME..AND I'LL BE RETURNING. If someone complains about this hotel..THEY'LL FIND FAULT IN ANYWHERE THEY STAY. Some people are not happy with ANYTHING!

Overall the vacation was very nice. Our room was very basic although we did get a flat screen tv (not that we watched it much).

The grounds and beach at the resort were very well taken care of and the pools were also very clean. The whole resort overall was actually very clean and we had no problems with bugs or air conditioning as other reviews have mentioned. The only problem we had was with water, which for our first 3 days was cold most of the time and one night we were left with no water at all. After the first few days though, we had no problems for the final 4 nights.

Service was ok at best, better at the bars then in the restaurants where it was almost impossible to get a drink while seated (and even harder to get your CORRECT drink). Every bar made the drinks a little different but overall they served their purpose well and lines to get a drink were usually not much of a problem. The food at the buffet was good and they had plenty of variety for everyone. The grill near the beach also served lunch without reservation and had a nice assortment of what most call American food (i.e. burgers, hot dogs, pizza, french fries and chicken) along with fruits and salad. The other restaurants were only open for dinner and required reservations. All of them generally offered your choice of 3 or 4 appetizers, 3 or 4 main courses and then a desert tray was wheeled out. All the food was very good, just not a lot to choose from. As I said before, while dining at the restaurants the drink service was not very good at all. We were not asked for a drink until after our main course came at 2 of the restaurants and at the third we ordered a sprite and a beer and were given 2 cokes. We were also one of only 3 parties there at the time so it was not due to the dinner rush.

The staff were fine and helpful but not "go out of their way to help you" good. We didn't have any particular issues or problems with the staff other then the night or water did not work and we were told it would be fixed in "more or less 5 minutes" and it was out all night.

Overall I was very happy with the vacation and thought it was a good value for the price.

I stayed at this resort for 3days/2nights following a business trip with a coworker in Santo Domingo. After booking I started to have second thoughts when I came accross some of these negative reviews. I thought I had made a terrible mistake.

Upon arrival I could not be more pleasantly surprised. The place is astonishingly beautiful. Truly paradise! I did not run into any rude staff. Everyone I approached was more than helpful. I wandered whether the folks with the problems stayed at the same place. I was in room 6325 and had a great time. This is an oceanview room. My first night we turned off the A/C and openned the balcony sliding door. The soothing sounds of the waves were as comforting as a lullaby.

The beach itself is breathtaking with powdery white sand and crystal clear water. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. You will not have staff waiting on you every minute of the day but can pretty much find whatever you need when you need it. I booked through orbitz and the price for an ocean view room came out to $66.25 per person inclding taxes. You cannot beat this price for an ocean view anywhere else.
