“Relaxation at its best!”

Turtle Nest Inn

5 of 5 stars
Washington, DC
Jun 25, 2008

I spent four nights at the end of May in one of the Inn's beach front apartments. I needed a relaxing get away and this was perfect! The apartment was well appointed with everything I needed including beach towels, toiletries, pots, pans, and the all important pitcher for mixing up great rum punch! And the beach view couldn't be beat. It's the perfect place if you are looking to get away from the hub bub of George Town and Seven Mile Beach. It's only a 30 minute drive to George Town if you are are looking for a bit more action though.

The Innkeepers and staff couldn't have been nicer. It was such a great place to stay that my boyfriend and I are going back for a week in September.

Turtle Nest Inn will likely become our annual vacation spot!

Turtle Nest Inn was the perfect place to stay during our 26th wedding anniversary. It has a homey feel, but also plenty of privacy. We didn't cook much, but having a fully stocked kitchen was great. They provided beach towels and snokeling fins which made it much easier to pack for the plane ride. Good suggestions were given for tours (esp. the catamaran trip to Stingray City) and for dining options. When we left we felt we were leaving friends behind.

“Had a Great Time!”

Turtle Nest Inn

My Husband and I chose the Turtle Nest Inn because of the reviews, the price, and the location (away from 7 mile beach) and we had a great stay! We were at TNI for 5 nights and we were very happy with everything.

We loved our 1 bedroom "home" because it had a full kitchen, it was super clean, spacious, bright, and it had a beautiful view. Everyone who works there was extremely helpful and informative about points of interest on the island. We checked in around 1pm and had no problems - our room was ready and waiting for us.

We especially loved that we could take Blackie (the dog) for walks and invite Vitamine (one of the cats) into our room for some morning cuddles. We missed our pets at home and having them there, made us feel happy.

We were happy to find that you can get discounted tickets for the "Turtle Farm" through TNI. It saved us so much money. We stayed there all day because the level of pass you get through TNI allows you to snorkel with fish/turtles and enjoy the huge swimming pool.

Make sure you check out Rum Point and Cemetery Beach while you are in Grand Cayman.

My husband and I are the kind of people who love to explore every nook of the place we go and we don't tend to sit at our hotel all day. For those who do enjoy doing nothing, but sitting by the pool, I think you will be happy if you are a low maintenance kind of person. The pool is small, but it is perfect for what the TNI is all about. It is meant to be a cozy, friendly, little inn not a huge resort. We will definitely be back again!

“Perfect Cayman Experience”

I don't see what anyone could find wrong with the Turtle Nest Inn. From our first stroll down the breezeway out to the pool, until our last night there (we stayed a full week), we loved it all.

Many mornings and afternoons we had the pool to ourselves, and it's just lovely to sit in the shade or sun, depending on what you need, and listen to the ocean. We really loved the snorkeling and the staff was very helpful whenever we needed anything in the Inn, or if we were looking for a good restaurant or place to go.

I highly recommend the Thursday night dinner at the Inn, as that was definitely one of our favorite experiences in the Caymans. The service, food and dinner companions made it a real treat. If you want a nice, relaxing vacation in the Cayman's, I definitely recommend the Turtle Nest Inn!

“Our Honeymoon - All we ever asked for and more!!”

Turtle Nest Inn

We absolutely loved the Turtle Nest Inn!! We saw the Turtle Nest on Trip Advisor and decided to make that our choice for our honeymoon. We stayed May 19- May 25, 2008. We loved everything about the place. We stayed in an upper floor ocean front apartment. When we arrived the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us get settled into our beautiful and spotless apartment. This apartment had two sliding glass doors with amazing views of the ocean. Nothing like waking up to the view we had. I still close my eyes and try to picture it.

The Inn provided us with all of the snorkel equipment we needed at no extra cost and scheduled events for us on the island. Those included an awsome snorkel trip with Capt. Dexter. His Catamaran is beautiful and we had a great time. They also scheduled horseback riding on the beach for us. The Inn was very helpful in suggesting good places to eat. They have a neat notebook that has all kinds of helpful hints in it - make sure to check that out! All of the restaurants they reccommended to us were great! They included: Seaside Paradise (good shrimp!), Paradise Grill, Calypso Grill (mango shrip to die for), Portofino, Grand Olde House (most amazing deck), and Breezes by the Bay (good brunch).

We signed up for the Thursday evening terrace dinner at the Inn. We reccommend signing up for the dinner. The food is wonderful plenty of it and it was great to meet some of the other guests.

The Turtle Nest Inn is perfect for quiet and relaxation which is just what we wanted. We ate breakfast every morning on our porch overlooking the ocean. The snorkling is very nice at the Inn. We actually traveled to snorkel elsewhere and found that the reef at the Inn was just as nice.

Overall, the Turtle Nest Inn was all we hoped for and more. We had an amazing honeymoon we will never forget. Although it did make coming back to reality that much harder. I would recommend the Turtle Nest Inn to anyone looking to go to Grand Cayman. Marliene and Alain are so wonderful and nice. We thank them for a great honeymoon and hope to see them again. We picked a wonderful place to return to for our anniversary!
