“Restored Victorian Inn a Must See”

Victorian Heritage Bed and Breakfast

This was my first visit to Montreal and I had the luck of choosing the Victorian Heritage. Due to airport delays, I arrived beyond the expected time, and Dennis was graciously waiting and eager to please and provide a tour of the beautifully restored inn. Dennis's staff are friendly and are there when you need them, and not when you want your relaxation. The location is fantastic as it is adjacent to numerous Metro stops and light fare restaurants. I was travelling alone, and that was a real plus. The rooms were very nicely decorated, and very quiet. Air conditioning, in room fridge, TV/Music all nice compliments. I went during the week so I was able to take advantage of the mid week specials, which made a (7) day
stay very affordable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Dennis even tolerated (with a smile) my Americanized version of French. Treat yourself to this gem, and be well rewarded.

The bed was amazing (slept 12 hours one night and was accommodated with a slightly late breakfast), food was delicious and more generous than described, staff was authentic and friendly and very helpful, location perfect! I hope that with these photos we can move the Victorian Heritage up the list a bit. Stayed in one of the top five the first night and liked this much more. I would not consider staying anywhere else when we go back. Especially if you like all things Victorian, this is a real treat, and no matter what, I am sure you will appreciate the aesthetic, clean, comfortable and well thought out accommodations the Victorian Heritage has to offer.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was in keeping with the high-roofed, wood-panelled Victorian interior - comfy bed, lovely bath. Great breakfasts with home-made breads and jams galore. Neatly located in the Latin Quarter, close to the best bars and restaurants in Montreal.

We stayed June 13-16. Overall a pleasant stay! My first impression upon arriving at the street address was not very appealing on the outside. The location is great easy access to the subway. The room we requested was the Polyxenes Room. The room is small no desk if you like to write has one window, and a small refrigerator. I personally did not care for the decor of the room. The head and foot board were old looking, but I am sure this was the antique style. We had to walk up three flights of steep stairs to the third floor. Every night I would walk down to iron our clothes for the next day, which got old. My husband loved the computer set up for the guest. Denis was accommodating.

“Best Find in Montreal”

Just returned from a three night stay in Montreal and had the pleasure of staying with Denis at his Victorian Heritage Bed and Breakfast. Having never been to Montreal, we were looking for a B+B that was centrally located and that had a lot of character and a friendly staff. We got all three at the Victorian Heritage. Located on busy Ontario Street, just a half block from all the activity on St. Denis, it is also an easy walk to Old Montreal, Downtown, the Gay Village, and Park Mont Royal. Several subway stops are also close by. Denis, the owner, could not be more pleasant and helpful. Do to airport delays, we did not arrive until after midnight, but we called and Denis was waiting for us and gave us a tour of the place upon our arrival.
The property consists of two attached victorian homes, the west one contains seven rooms and were just put into service earlier this year. Our room was on the top floor and was supposedly one of the smallest but was still quite roomy with an antique brass bed, clawfoot tub and shower. Breakfast is a self-serve affair served every morning in the lower level kitchen until 11am (important when you're on vacation and don't want to get up early). Two computers are also available at no charge to keep in touch. All in all, this was a steal at $110CDN/night.
