I spent 3 nights here at the end of March in a twin room on the 6th [top] floor. The beds were comfortable, the room a very good size, although a tad gloomy, and the bathroom large and modern.
Unfortunately the hotel is an older building and our room was next to the lift well which was very noisy until late at night and again early each morning. We were also bothered by noise from the room next door, caused by a woman endlessly walking in hard heeled shoes on a tiled floor. On the good side there was very little street noise as our room faced the back of the building.
The front desk staff were always courteous and helpful and were happy to store our luggage for the day when we checked out. Wireless internet access is reasonably priced and there are computers available for use in an area off the lobby.
The location is good if you don't mind walking; the city centre, Oxford Street, King's Cross, Woollomooloo, and Surry Hills are easily accessible. One of my favourite Sydney restaurants, Longrain, is a very short walk away.
