I arrived early but my room was not ready. That's ok, because I drove in and got into town about 11am. The woman gave me a parking pass anyway so I was able to park and go to Disneyland until late afternoon. The woman who checked me in later in the day, was very friendly and changed my room to a King with a HUGE inclosed patio. It was also right by the gigantic pool which was nice. No my room did not have a microwave but did have a mini fridge. I walked by some other rooms that the maids were cleaning and they did have microwaves. A friend of mine who stayed there few weeks earlier said she had the microwave but no refergerator so whatever. I didn't need the microwave anyway but if I had had my kids with me, I would have been irritated because we always pop popcorn and take it with us to Disneyland. The cable TV had a good selection. I did not turn on the air conditioner because I had a small fan with me, so I just opened the glass doors and put it in the window. I hate hotel towels so I had my own, but I had to use them for the floors and they were pretty thin and yucky. The bathroom floors are a ceramic tile and they were very very slippery and I almost fell and killed myself twice. They really need a better bathmat type towel I'm sure i'm not the first. The carpet seemed fine to me but then again I was wearing black socks so if they were dirty I couln't tell. The bed was firm but comfortable. There was a library convention in town, and the place was booked but I never heard any loud noise. AS for the location to the parks. I have stayed many times right at the crosswalk into Disneyland about 7-8 doors closer. I will say this. This hotel and the Castle Inn right next door is about the limit as far as walking distance in my opinion. Much farther down Harbor and it will become too far. There were a few times I really wanted to go back to my room for something but thought "I just can't go all the way back it's too far" I never ate at the breakfast buffet I didnt' have time. I wanted to be at the park 1/2 hour before rope drop which meant leaving the hotel about 7:15. I grabbed a cup of coffee ( I always take my own pot I hate hotel coffee) and a costco muffin and made my way to Disneyland. Anyway YES I would stay here again, it was way cheaper than other hotels closer was fine. It was NOT A DUMP some people want 5 star service for 2 star price. OH regarding the parking, Yes you have to pay, BUT they let you stay parked until midnight even on the day you check out, so you can avoid the horrible parking garage at Disneyland, and it;s $8 cheaper too. Yes some other hotels let you park for free, but it's very tight. There is plenty of parking here so I'm ok with the $4 fee. Ok I'm done.
